2. Blinking orange light

This one is a little different because a blinking orange light means your Echo Dot found your Wi-Fi and is currently trying to connect to it. Many users searching for an Alexa orange light assume the device is offline, but a blinking orange light usually means the connection process is still in progress.

Think of it like this:

• spinning orange = searching
• blinking orange = connecting

Basically the Echo Dot and your router are “handshaking” in the background:

Using random chargers can cause problems
